According to a report published by Yahoo last December, Ford and Google are planning to create a joint venture to work together on self-driving cars. The deal may or may not finally happen. We do not care, because that’s not the important part of the rumor. The important thing for us is that this kind of partnership, unthinkable few years ago, would make perfect sense today.
Despite the cultural clash caused by decades of the current most stablished kind of relationship between doctors and patients, an increasing number of not just patients but health professionals too are realizing that engaging the patient voice can be a powerful tool to inspire and shape new solutions in health care.
For a still small but increasing number of experts the most promising trend in improving healthcare is the growing emphasis on incorporating into the design of new health programs and policies the voices of patients and caregivers. For these, the future of healthcare relies on the implementation of relatively new concepts as Participatory Medicine or Patient Partnerships.
In Co-Session#24, getting to know how different companies are using 3D technologies involved more than just listening to their speeches. Members of Co-Society had a time to interact face to face with the representatives of these companies in order to follow up on any questions that came up during the presentation and perhaps explore a possible collaboration in the future.
3D technologies are already changing the way in which we come up with, design and even produce products and services. At Co-Society we wanted to dedicate Co-Session#24 to explore the way in which this type of technology can be used to reinvent businesses.
